EUBrazilCC Keynote at GridKa School "Big Data, Cloud Computing and Modern Programming". September 1-5, 2014, Karlsruhe, Germany

The International GridKa School is one of the leading summer schools for advanced computing techniques in Europe. The school provides a forum for scientists and technology leaders, experts and novices to facilitate knowledge sharing and information exchange. The target audience are different groups like grid and cloud newbies, advanced users as well as administrators, graduate and PhD students. GridKa School is hosted by Steinbuch Centre for Computing (SCC) of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). It is organized by KIT and the HGF Alliance "Physics at the Terascale".

On Friday 5 September, Dr. Fabrizio Gagliardi, Distinguished Research Director, Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Spain, is EUBrazil Cloud Connect EEC chair and gave a keynote at the GridKa School 2014.

His talk discussed the current transformation in the computing landscape and reviewed some practical experience drawn from the recently concluded FP7 projects such as Venus-C and EUBrazilOpenBio, and the current experience in EUBrazil Cloud Connect.
