Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (FIOCRUZ)

Through CLIOC and COLFLEB, FIOCRUZ provides information about parasite and vector species distribution and associated data (molecular characteristics, DNA Barcoding, host and clinical aspects, for example). These data compose Use Case 1 for the creation of the Leishmaniasis Virtula Laboratory (together with, epidemiologic and geographical data). Ecological and niche modelling analysis is performed in collaboration with CRIA in order to generate models for actual and future predicted distributions for parasites, vectors and the disease.
