This is a prototype deliverable that is intended to show the scientific and technical feasibility of the requirements identified in EUBrazilCC for the CSGrid software. D3.5 Final Infrastructure Assessment Report

This report provides a complete description of (i) the main infrastructural resources in terms of “infrastructure” and “services” provided by the EUBrazilCC partners, and (ii) the main activities related to the infrastructure that have been carried out during the project. In particular, the document describes the available infrastructure, the different types of services, the dashboard tools providing a global view about the available, the federated resources, a monitoring system reporting the status of the federation, and the technical activity carried out to address the main infrastructural issues.

D4.1 Report on architecture

This report includes the architectural choices and developments needed to design and integrate all the contributed components of the framework. This initial design ensures the smooth integration of all pieces of the EUBrazilCC platform.

D4.2 Programming models - Prototypes

This document describes the implementation of the programming model prototypes developed as a part of the EUBrazil Cloud Connect platform. The programming models offer the tools to implement user scenarios and execute them on the federated infrastructure. COMPSs and e‐Science Central are the two available frameworks for the porting of the scenarios. This report details how the architectural choices and the use case requirements have been translated into developments and extensions of the programming frameworks. It also takes into account interoperability issues and the standards implementation plan.

D4.3 Scientific Gateways - Prototypes

This document is a prototype deliverable of the science gateways in EUBrazilCC. This deliverable is complemented with a report to show the functionalities offered by those science gateways, as well as class diagrams, sequence diagrams, and deployment diagrams that describe their architecture. The report serves to the purpose of accompanying the release of the prototypes, facilitating the access links to the implementation and documentation of the prototypes. Therefore, the information contained in this report is subject to changes as a result of any changes/updates the development teams make in the prototypes. D4.4 Parallel data analysis service - Prototype

This document is a prototype deliverable of the parallel data analysis services. It provides (i) a description of the main functionalities developed in the context of the EUBrazilCC project to extend and adapt the Parallel Data Analysis Service (PDAS), and (ii) useful links to the software repositories, documentation, virtual machines images, and licensing. Moreover, it describes the main extensions introduced in the prototypes in order to fulfil the project requirements. The information contained in this deliverable refers to the current version of the PDAS software (v1.8.0 - end of July 2015).

D5.1 Report on Use Cases Requirements

This deliverable provides a comprehensive list of functional and non-functional requirements related to the three use cases. It covers the technical needs for the integration of molecular and environmental data and epidemiologic model creation, the data transfer and coupling of Alya and ADAM, and the different data sources and models in the biodiversity and climate change use case.

This deliverable reports about the implementation status of the three use cases at the end of the first year. It describes the adaptation effort and the development plan, as well as the EUBrazilCC components selected. A usage plan is also provided.

D5.3 Final Report on Use Cases implementation

This deliverable reports about the implementation status of the three use cases at the end of the project. The consistent evolution of the platform that support the applications led to a smooth evolution in the development of the use cases. As the interfaces have not been changed, applications evolved implementing new functionalities and relying on the components to cope with the issues of the infrastructure. This document is complemented with deliverable D5.4 “Validation report on the EUBrazilCC platform”, which covers a deeper analysis of the usability and reliability of the components and the applications.

D5.4 Validation Report on EUBrazilCC platform

This document includes a quantitative and qualitative assessment of user scenarios, platform components and infrastructure resources. It also describes the special features added to the different components of the EUBrazilCC platform and the general-purpose use cases that can be implemented on top of it.
The EUBrazilCC platform comprises 7 components that address scientific gateways, data analytics, data workflow execution, scalable parallel programming, automatic infrastructure deployment, batch-queue based and cloud resource federation. By combining the components users can deploy a variety of virtual appliances from single VMs to scalable parallel programs or data analytic clusters, on top of a federated infrastructure. Components are interoperable and expose a well-defined interface that enable adding their features.
