Appropriate use of satellite images in their full potential would substantially help a best understanding about the main land use changes drivers: human activities and climate changes. This papers shows some jointed actions aimed to integrate transcontinental data exchange and expert knowledge sharing on both sides of the Atlantic trough the EUBrazilCC project. It has been successfully submitted for the 36th International Symposium on Remote Sensing of Environment, May 2015.

Event: 36th International Symposium on Remote Sensing of Environment (ISRSE)

Natural sciences have sought ecosystems monitoring, especially by investigating the effects of climate change on biodiversity. However, the variety of environmental data applications require huge spatial scales that cannot be collected only trough field-based methods. This article will present EUBrazilCloudConnect project (EUBrazilCC) at the XVII Brazilian Symposium on Remote Sensing, April 2015. The main goal is to provide a cloud infrastructure to use tools for multi-temporal analysis and trend analysis of huge remote sensing databases to understand the main current drivers of land use changes: human activities and climate changes.

Event: XVII Brazilian Symposium on Remote Sensing (XVII SBSR)
Date: April 25 - 29, 2015
